Russian Troops Cut Off Luhansk Gas Pipeline

Russian troops have reportedly cut off gas supplies to Luhansk after damaging a gas pipeline with a diameter of 500mm near Sievierodonetsk.

Serhiy Haidai, Head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration reported that Russian troops that attacked Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Lysychansk, and Toshkivka have damaged gas pipelines alongside homes.

“Near Severodonetsk, the Russians cut off the main gas pipeline. Severodonetsk and nearby settlements were left without gas – about 60 thousand subscribers. A total of 36 settlements without gas supply (131,944 subscribers), of which 30 in full and 6 in part,” said Haidai.

Haidai explained that repair workers were unable to go to the damaged pipes but they managed to close all the valves in time.
