Two Shot Dead at McDonald’s in Dutch City

A gunman opened fire and killed two people in a McDonald’s restaurant in the northern Dutch city of Zwolle on March 30.

The shooting began at around 6 p.m. when the gunman walked in and shot two people who were eating at the restaurant in an apparent “targeted” attack, police and Dutch broadcaster RTV Oost reported.

Emergency workers tried to resuscitate one of the wounded victims, but later died.

The gunman fled the scene.

According to RTV Oost, several people, including children, were in the restaurant at the time of the shooting. They immediately tried to flee when the shooting began.

Police cordoned off the area for investigation and the search for the gunman is ongoing.

Police has not released the identities of the gunman and the victims and has established a motive.
