Four Killed After Driver Crashes Into Salem, Oregon Homeless Encampment in Salem

Four people were killed after a sports coupe crashed into a homeless encampment in Salem, Oregon on early Sunday.

According to a report from the Salem police, two people died at the scene after they got pinned down beneath the car.

Another two individuals were taken to the hospital but were later declared dead.

Salem police identified the driver of the vehicle as Enrique Rodriguez, 24, who was also brought to the hospital for medical treatment.

Rodriguez was later arrested and was charged with four counts of manslaughter in the first degree, assault in the second and third degree, and six counts of reckless endangerment.

Rodriguez is now under the custody of Marion County Jail.
