Saudi Arabia and Nepal Agree to Enhance Mutual Cooperation

Saudi Arabia Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud met with Nepal’s Foreign Minister Dr. Narayan Khadka, where both sides discussed aspects on how to improve mutual cooperation.

“The two sides discussed a number of important issues and also signed an agreement to enhance mutual cooperation between the two countries,” Nepali news agency Khabarhub reported.

Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud arrived in Nepal capital Kathmandu on a two-day official visit from Sri Lanka on his private aircraft leading a 23-member delegation.

This is the first high-level delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia visiting Nepal in the duration of 12 years. Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud was welcomed by Nepal’s Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Poudyal at the VVIP lounge at the Tribhuwan International Airport.

Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud is expected to hold separate meetings with President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba later today.

Reportedly there are about 400,000 Nepalis who are currently working in Gulf country.
