Fox News Correspondent Benjamin Hall Seriously Wounded in Ukraine

A Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall was seriously injured while covering the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the outlet confirmed on Monday.

Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement on Monday that Hall was injured while covering the war outside Kyiv amid intensifying assault by Russian forces.

“Hall has been hospitalized and our teams on the ground are working to gather additional information as the situation quickly unfolds,” Scott added.

Scott said that the safety of the entire team of journalists in Ukraine and the surrounding regions is top “priority and utmost importance.”

“This is a stark reminder for all journalists who are putting their lives on the line every day to deliver the news from a war zone” Scott said.

Journalists in Ukraine have faced enormous challenges while reporting Russia’s invasion. Russian invaders are also accused of kidnapping an Ukrainian journalist Oleh Baturin in Kherson Oblast of southern Ukraine. Some other local journalists have also expressed concern as what they described, receiving threat from the invader soldiers.

Baturin was working for the newspaper Novy Den (New Day), and was potentially targeted due to his evidently pro-Ukrainian views and for his harsh criticism against Russia’s invasion.
