Russian missiles struck a military training facility in Western Ukraine near the city of Lviv has killed 35 people and injured at least 135 according to the governor of the Lviv region.
Russian warplanes fired more that than 30 missiles while flying over the Black and Azov seas, striking the military base, according to Maksym Kozytsky, head of the Lviv regional military administration, in a statement posted to Facebook.
The attack came just hours after the Kremlin warned that western supply lines and weapons shipments into Ukraine were “legitimate targets”.
The military training base is only 13 miles from the Polish border, and the International Peacekeeping and Security Center (IPSC).
The IPSC hosts military personnel, including from the United States.
