40-Mile-Long Russian Convoy Near Kyiv Largely Dispersed, Satellite Images Show

New satellite images showed that the Russian military convoy that stretched for over 40 miles (64 kilometers) outside Ukrainian capital of Kyiv has “largely dispersed and redeployed,” a private United States company said.

Satellite images taken at 11:37 a.m. Kyiv time on March 10 showed some of the vehicles, tanks, and artillery have “repositioned” into forests and treelined areas near Lubyanka, Ukraine, Maxar Technologies said.

Some armored units are seen in towns near the Antonov airport north of Kyiv.

The military convoy had amassed outside Kyiv since last week, but it appeared to have stalled amid reports of food and fuel shortages.

According to U.S. officials, Ukrainian troops also targeted the convoy with anti-tank missiles.

Satellite images from Maxar Technologies also showed that suburbs of Kyiv sustained significant damage.
