Israel Warns of Action To Stop Iran From Becoming Existential Threats

Israel Defense Minister Benny Gantz on Monday said that Israel will take all possible measures necessary to prevent Iran from becoming an existential threat to the region and the world.

In a series of tweets, Gantz said that the world must mobilize to stop Iranian aggression. “We must reiterate the warning that Iranian aggression, whether it emanates from Iranian territory or through Iranian proxies – is a threat to global peace and to regional stability, as well as a threat to the State of Israel,” Gantz added.

Gantz said that last year he “revealed the names of those behind the ‘Mercer Street’ attack – Commander of the IRGC’s Air Force, General Amir Ali Hajizadeh and Head of the IRGC’s UAV Command, Saeed Ara Jani.”

Gantz said that he also revealed significant bases in Iran including ‘Kashan’, where proxies are trained, and bases in ‘Chabahar’ and ‘Qeshem’ from where missiles are launched.  “I also exposed bases in Western Iran, where capabilities are developed to attack Israel,” Gantz added.

Moreover, Gantz said that he also exposed that Iran exports advanced “UAVs and weapons” not only to its proxies in the Middle East but also to countries in Central America, such as Venezuela.

Gantz’s comments csme one day after Israel announced that the Israel Defense Forces had intercepted Iranian drones en route from Iran to Gaza. The Israel Defense Forces and Israeli defense establishment “will continue to act decisively in the face of Iranian aggression and terrorism,” Gantz added.

“We will thwart any attempted attack and charge a painful price from Iran,” Gantz warned, adding “while a nuclear agreement is being negotiated in Vienna, we must remember that Iranian aggression is conducted without a ‘nuclear canopy’.

“If Iran reaches a nuclear threshold, it will become even more dangerous to world peace. Now is the time for the world to stop Iran,” Gantz added.

Gantz furthered, “Whether or not an agreement will be signed, it will not be the end of the road for us – nor should it be for the countries of the region and the world, which must continue to act against Iranian aggression.”
