Russian airstrikes have killed at least 47 Ukrainian civilians in Chernihiv after residential areas were targeted.
“According to updated information from healthcare institutions, 47 people – 38 men and 9 women – died as a result of Russia’s air raid on Chernihiv yesterday, March 3,” said the Chernihiv Regional Administration.
Footage from the city show charred and destroyed building while the streets are littered with rubble and impact craters.
According the administration, there are still groceries and pharmacies that are still running despite the ongoing bombardment.
The Ukrianian State Security service also reported that the oil depot in Chernihiv’s “Kombinat Aystra” has been set ablaze after it was also shelled by the Russians.
