Russian Strike Disables TV Tower in Kyiv

The Kyiv TV tower has been destroyed by Russian ordinance which left local TV stations without transmissions.

Photos and videos of the tower were shared on social media showing the tower smoking after being apparently struck by an a
Russian strike.

The blasts have been reportedly observed in Borshchahivka and Dorohozhychi.

Ukrainian interior ministry adviser Anton Herashchenko confirmed that the attack disrupted TV signals but the 1+1 media group said it is working to restore the signals.

The strike came shortly after the residents near military and intelligence infrastructure were ordered to evacuate by the government.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky later reported that the nearby Babi Yar Holocaust memorial was also hit by the Russian strike. and killed people there,

“To the world: what is the point of saying «never again» for 80 years, if the world stays silent when a bomb drops on the same site of Babyn Yar? At least 5 killed. History repeating,” said Zelensky.
