Apple on March 1 has stopped all product sales in Russia in response to the invasion of Ukraine.
All Apple products on the company’s online Russian storefront are labeled as “unavailable.”
Apple does not operate a physical store in Russia.
The company also limited Apple Pay and other services in Russia.
Apple also removed Russian state-controlled RT News and Sputnik News from its App Store outside of Russia, the company said.
Apple also disabled both traffic and live incidents in Apple Maps in Ukraine “as a safety and precautionary measure for Ukrainian citizens.”
“We will continue to evaluate the situation and are in communication with relevant governments on the actions we are taking. We join all those around the world who are calling for peace,” an Apple spokesperson said in a statement.
The move came nearly a week after Russian President Vladimir Putin sent troops to invade Ukraine, prompting several economic sanctions and international condemnation.
