NATO to Deploy Troops in Eastern Europe after Russia Attack

NATO has decided to deploy additional troops to Eastern Europe following Russia’s assault on Ukraine.

“Russia’s actions pose a serious threat to Euro-Atlantic security, and they will have geostrategic consequences. NATO will continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the security and defense of all Allies. We are deploying additional defensive land and air forces to the eastern part of the Alliance, as well as additional maritime assets. We have increased the readiness of our forces to respond to all contingencies.” said NATO.

NATO announced that they condemn Russia’s horrific attack on Ukraine because it “was completely unjustified and unprovoked” and condemned Belarus as well for allowing the attack.

“NATO and the EU stand by the brave people of Ukraine,” said  NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg.

Stoltenberg added that they have no plans to send NATO troops to Ukraine and what they are doing is defensive.
