Multiple Explosions Reported in Ukraine

Several explosions have been reported across Ukraine after Russia announced it would be launching “Special Military Operations.”

“The invasion has begun. There have just been missile strikes on military command centers, airfields, and military depots in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipro. There are artillery shelling of the border,” said Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Herashchenko.

Purported footage from Ukraine shows large explosions in the background during the evening while daytime footage shows cruise missiles flying overhead.

NATO’s Turkish Air Force A400Ms are reportedly still stranded in Kyiv’s Boryspil Airport in Ukraine while it is currently under Russian attack but NATO has not yet disclosed further details.

“The military infrastructure, air defense facilities, military airfields, aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are disabled with high-precision weapons,”  confirmed the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Russian Defense Ministry however claimed that civilians are not being targeted by the attacks.

“Why is all this happening? Where does this impudent manner of speaking from the position of one’s own exclusivity, infallibility, and permissiveness, whence the disregard, disregard for our interests and absolutely legitimate requirements?” said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The People’s Militia of the Lugansk People’s Republic has also begun attacking the city of Shchastya which is controlled by Kyiv

In response to the attacks, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the introduction of martial law throughout the country.

“Calm is needed from you. If possible, stay at home. We are working. The entire security and defense sector of Ukraine is working. Don’t panic, we are ready for anything and we will defeat everyone,” said Zelensky.
