Saudi Arabia Records 1,793 New COVID-19 Cases, Two Deaths In Last 24 Hours

Saudi Arabia’s Health Ministry on Wednesday said they have registered 1,793 new cases of COVID-19 and two related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 734,389 across the Kingdom.

The ministry said in a statement that he number of cases has steadily dropped as on January 19, 5,928 people were tested positive for the virus in a single day, 

Another two patients have lost their lives to the virus during the span of time, the statement said, with the death toll now standing at 8,977 since the beginning of the pandemic in the country.

In the past 24 hours there were also 3,207 recoveries, bringing the total number to 702,049.

“We have conducted nearly 99,390 new tests, while the number of vaccine doses increased to 59.79 million,” according to the statement.
