Kuwait’s Health Ministry on Thursday announced 5,990 more people were tested positive for COVID-19 disease in the past 24 hours, taking the caseload to 564,735 across the country.

Spokesman for the Health Ministry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said another two patients lost their lives to the virus during the span of time, pushing the death toll from the pandemic to 2,503.

Another 5,101 patients were recovered and discharged from hospitals during the same period of hours, according to Al-Sanad, who said 507,174 patients have so far overcome the disease.

Kuwait’s Health Minister Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed a day earlier said that dealing with continuous ramifications of COVID-19 required adaptability and flexibility.

Addressing a National Assembly session on the government’s work plan to curb the spread of the COVID-19, Al-Saeed said health procedures and precautions, including speeding up vaccinations and PCR tests are key elements to fight the virus effectively.

Al-Saeed claimed his ministry was working day and night to make vaccines and PCR tests available for the people in both private and government hospitals in order to stop the further spread of the virus among the citizens.
