Bahrain officials on Wednesday praised the strong relations with the UK as it reflects the importance of the long-standing relations between the two kingdoms.
Bahrain’s Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani in a meeting with UK Minister for International Trade, Ranil Jayawardena, termed the UK as Bahrain’s major international investment partner, saying the volume of bilateral economic and trade relations is growing progressively.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to work to explore ways to further expand trade ties, also emphasizing the vital role of private sectors.
Al Zayani expressed his country’s willingness to further improve ties with the UK in all fields besides trade and investment.
Commenting on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed in October 2021 between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the UK, Al Zayani said the development resulted in further cementing trade and partnership ties with the Kingdoms.
