Turkey’s Health Ministry on Monday said they have registered 93,261 new COVID-19 cases and 182 related deaths within the past 24 hours.
The ministry also put the number of recoveries during the same period of hours to 93,438 patients, while giving assurance to spare no efforts in providing health facilities to them.
“We have tested 435,513 people over the past day. We have accelerated our testing in order to stop the further spread of the virus in the society,” the statement added.
Meanwhile, the ministry said Turkey has so far administered over 141.9 million doses since it launched a mass vaccination campaign in January.
The ministry said over 57.4 million people have received their first doses, while over 52.3 million have been fully vaccinated.
Moreover, the ministry said that 25 million people have also received their third COVID-19 vaccine doses.
Turkey officially confirmed 11,526,621 cases of COVID-19 and 87,234 related deaths since the outbreak of the virus started in the country two years ago.
