Pakistan’s National Security Adviser (NSA), Moeed Yusuf on Friday claimed that terrorist groups are still using Afghanistan territory against Pakistan.
Moeed made the remarks while briefing Pakistan’s National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, and expressed concern over what he said that terrorist groups are still operating inside Afghanistan.
The comments came as the Taliban, who toppled the western-backed democratic government in August, said they have full control over provinces across Afghanistan
The Taliban officials promised they would not let any groups use Afghanistan’s territory against any of its neighbors, including Pakistan.
Yusuf said the security administration was not fully hopeful about the Taliban government’s return to Afghanistan.
Yusuf warned that any group who try to wage war against Pakistan would be dealt with an “iron fist.”
