Bahrain King Visits UAE To Discuss Regional Issues

The UAE Foreign Ministry annunced that King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain arrived in UAE early Wednesday to further cement ties between the two Arabic countries.

A ministry statement  said King Hamad was received by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, where they discussed issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, King Hamad and Al Nahyan cordially exchanged views on several fronts, including regional and international issues of mutual concern.

“We have discussed the latest developments with regard to the terrorist attack that targeted civil areas and facilities in the UAE and the measures taken by the UAE in response to this cowardly attack, which violates all international laws and norms and human values,” King Hamad quoted as saying in the statement.

King Hamad said his country is fully supporting the UAE against all threats to its sovereignty, security and stability, the statement said.

“We support measures taken by the UAE to counter the Houthi militia’s attacks,” King Hamad said, adding that any attack on the UAE is considered an attack on Bahrain.

Recently, Houthi rebels launched missile attacks toward Abu Dhabi, in which three people were killed and six others were wounded.
