Armenia’s Health Minister, Anahit Avanesyan met with Iranian Ambassador to Yerevan Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri on Wednesday, where both sides discussed bilateral issues, including steps to increase cooperation in the health sectors, her office said in a statement.
Besides healthcare cooperation, the two sides also discussed ways to scale up the level of investments, improve tourism and other matters relating to the bilateral cooperation between the two states, the statement added.
Avanesyan stressed on continuation of current level of dialogue between the two countries, and said that agreements reached during the 16th session of the Armenian-Iranian joint inter-governmental commission, would soon enter an active implementation stage.
Avanesyan expressed readiness to provide market for the Iranian-made medicine, hoping to improve Armenian-Iranian partnership in pharmaceutics areas, the statement added
On his part, Zohouri stressed on intensification of mutual engagement in different areas between the two states in order to further strengthen bilateral partnership. Zohouri also stressed on healthcare cooperation.
Both sides also talked about importance of bilateral healthcare programs, including providing programs for the both e countries health experts.
