Iranian ambassador to Kabul on Tuesday met with his Pakistani counterpart, where they discussed important issues regarding Afghanistan and agreed to work for a long term peace and stability in the country.
Iran’s Bahador Aminian and Pakistan’s Mansoor Ahmad Khan expressed readiness of their countries to work for security and stability in Afghanistan through economic cooperation and regional connectivity, Iran’s embassy in Kabul said in a statement.
Earlier, Iran’s ambassador had also met with the former Afghan President Hamid Karzai in his residence in Kabul, where both sides stressed upon maintaining good relations with each other.
During the meeting, both sides discussed key issues of mutual interests and stressed upon good neighborhoods.
Moreover, Aminian also met with Mette Knudsen, the Deputy Special Representative in the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, where they discussed stability and security, inclusive government, and economic development in Afghanistan.
