China’s Youku Picks Up ‘Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten’ Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger

Youku, the flagship streaming platform of Jack Ma’s Alibaba Group, has bought the first season of Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten, an animated children’s series created and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Genius Brands International, a children’s media firm, and Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment produced in collaboration with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Oak Productions. It will debut on Youku in March 2022, as well as on the Chinese company’s Tudou and Kumiao applications.

Stan Lee’s Superhero Kindergarten is aimed towards children and families, and it follows the adventures of six different children as they learn to master their superpowers as well as their ABCs. With the assistance of their tutor Arnold Armstrong (“as Captain Fantastic, the greatest superhero of all time!”).

In the series, Arnold Schwarzenegger is voice-directed by filmmaker John Landis, with Steven Banks, the former head writer for SpongeBob SquarePants, acting as the series’ head writer.

The program will launch on Genius Brands’ Kartoon Channel in the United States and Canada in April 2021! Since then, it has had over 75 million views. Genius Brands intends to offer the series in other parts of the world during 2022.
