A 6.3 Magnitude earthquake struck southwestern Japan but caused no casualties or triggered a tsunami warning.
According to the USGS, the tremor occurred 24 km SSE of Saiki, Japan on 16:08:37 (UTC) located 32.765°N 132.040°E41. and had a depth of 8 km.
The Japan Meteorological Agency said that the earthquake was felt across several prefectures and had observable effects.
There were no reports of injuries or major property damage.
