Netflix has unveiled eight fresh first-look images from the forthcoming second season of Bridgerton, the company’s smash hit.
Bridgerton season two follows Lord Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), the eldest Bridgerton sibling and viscount, as he embarks on a search for a suitable marriage.
Bridgerton’s second installment focuses on a new romance and is based on Julia Quinn’s novel The Viscount Who Loved Me, the second in Quinn’s best-selling Bridgerton trilogy. The first centered on Daphne Bridgerton’s (Phoebe Dynevor) affair with the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page). Dynevor will return her role, while Page will be remembered for her leave at the end of season one.
“Driven by his duty to uphold the family name, Anthony’s search for a debutante who meets his impossible standards seems ill-fated until Kate (Simone Ashley) and her younger sister Edwina (Charithra Chandran) Sharma arrive from India,” said the official description for season two.
Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, and Chris Van Dusen executive produce Bridgerton. Van Dusen is also the show’s creator and showrunner.
Bridgerton’s second season will premiere on March 25.
