Oman, Iran Ready To Expand Trade

The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) on Tuesday said they have arranged a meeting between businessmen from Oman and Iran to discuss ways on how to improve bilateral trade.

The OCCI in a statement said that enhancing trade and investment cooperation between the two countries’ businessmen through government channels were the main dominate of the discussions.

Ridha Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of OCCI welcomed the Iranian businessmen delegation and hailed their visit as a key step in achieving economic diversification to meet the aspirations of the two countries.

Meanwhile, the Times of Oman reported that Asilah Salim Al Samsami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Investment met with businessmen and investors from the Kingdom of Jordan.

Officials from both sides discussed enhancing trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Amjad Al Quhaiwi, Ambassador of Jordan to Oman and several officials from both sides took part in the meeting, and they stressed issues on how to support the investors and remove any sorts of obstacles on their ways.
