Israeli Soldier Shoot and Kill Knife Wielding Palestinian Man in West Bank

Israeli forces on Monday shot dead a Palestinian man after he tried to stab an Israeli soldier in the West Bank on Monday, the Israeli army said.

“The assailant, armed with a knife, got out of the vehicle and attempted to stab an Israeli soldier. The soldier fired towards the assailant and killed him,” the army statement said.

Meanwhile, Palestinian Health Ministry identified the man killed as Faleh Musa Jaradat, who lived south of Hebron.

The Palestinian Health Ministry on Monday also reported that in a separate incident, an elderly Palestinian man died of injuries sustained nearly two weeks.

He received fatal injuries after the Israeli police service hit him with a vehicle in the city of Hebron.

“A 75-year-old man, Suleiman al-Hathalin died of his wounds during a protest against Israel’s illegal settlements in the West Bank,” the ministry said in a statement.

There is no immediate comment by the Israeli sides on the matter so far.
