Palestine Reports 458 COVID Cases, Six Deaths Within 24 Hours

The Palestine Health Ministry said they have registered 458 new cases of COVID-19 and six related deaths in the past 24 hours.

Health Minister Mai Alkaila said that another 384 people were fully recovered and discharged from hospitals during the same period of hours.

According to Alkaila, five deaths from COVID-19 were registered in the West Bank, while another one was recorded in Gaza.

The new figures came out of 6,606 suspected samples tested within 24 hours, Alkail said, adding 66 COVID-19 were tested in the Gaza Strip, while the West Bank had 255 new cases and in East Jerusalem, 137 cases were reported.

Moreover, Alkaila said that 109 patients are under medical care at the moment, while 58 of them are in intensive care, including 17 on ventilators.

Recovery rate has reached 98.1 percent, while active cases reached 0.8 percent and the deaths stood at 1.1 percent of total infections across the Palestrina, Alkaila added.
