Saudi Arabia’s envoy to Lebanon said that the Hezbollah group, lead by Hassan Nasrallah, is posing a great threat to the Arab security.
Ambassador Waleed Bukhari said his country hopes that the political parties “will give priority to the supreme interest of Lebanon and end Hezbollah’s terrorist hegemony over every aspect of the state.”
“Hezbollah’s terrorist activities and regional military behavior threaten Arab national security,” Bukhair was quoted by AFP.
The statement by the top Saudi envoy comes after Hezbollah leader Nasrallah accused Saudi Arabia of exporting Islamic extremism.
During a televised speech this week, Nasrallah described Saudi King Salman as a “terrorist”.
“Your highness the king, the terrorist is the side who exported Wahhabi-Daeshi ideology to the world and they are you,” Nasrallah said.
