Iraq’s health officials said on Wednesday that they have recorded 516 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 2,095,183 across the country.
Another nine patients have lost their lives to the virus in the same period of time, pushing the total tally to 24,191 people since the start of the pandemic, according to health ministry’s data.
Meanwhile, 320 patients were fully recovered and discharged from hospitals, the ministry said, putting the total recoveries tally to 2,066,369 nationwide.
In the meantime, 58,795 people were vaccinated in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region during the same time, the ministry said, in total 8,602,016 people have been vaccinated so far.
