Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amirabdollahian said he held talks with his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr Albusaidi on the phone regarding the need for expanding mutual cooperation in all areas.
ISNA reported that both Amirabdollahian and Albusaidi have agreed to continue bilateral consultation on different matters, and also exchanged views on the regional developments.
Amirabdollahian expressed hope to have the opportunity to visit Muscat as soon as possible.
Albusaidi said that the Muscat-Tehran relation is moving in a positive direction.
Albusaidi said that problems should be resolved through talks while conveying the Sultanate of Oman’s assertion that negotiations should always be given priority.
“We should give diplomatic and peace path as a permanent strategy in resolving any sorts of issues,” Albusaidi added.
