Uzbekistan recorded 217 new COVID-19 cases, four deaths in the last 24 hours, pushing the overall caseload to 196,739.
With four new fatalities, the total death toll reached 1,453, as per data released by the Uzbekistan’s Health Ministry.
Another 201 patients recovered from the virus during the same period of hours, the ministry said, putting the total recoveries toll to 193,478.
According to the ministry, another 1,816 patients are currently receiving medical care.
During these hours, 72 people were tested positive for COVID-19 in Tashkent, the Uzbek capital city while 13 in Andijan, 12 in Bukhara, 3 in Jizzakh, 2 in Navoi, 7 in Namangan, 24 people in Samarkand, 4 in Syrdarya, 9 people in the Fergana and 15 people in the Khorezm regions.
Another 213,463 people have so far received their first round of vaccine jabs, the ministry added.
