At least one civilian has been killed and six others injured after two explosions rocked Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan on Wednesday.

Taliban Interior Ministry Spokesman, Qari Sayeed Khosti confirmed a car bombing occurred in Dasht-e-Barchi area of Police District-13, a heavily dominated Shiite Muslim that killed a civilian and wounded six others.

Another blast went off in Karte-3 area in Police District-3 in which the Taliban official says they have started investigation into the incident.

There is no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks as a series of blast hit Kabul recently, mainly Shiite areas in the western parts of the city.

Two other blasts occurred this week that killed three people and injured six others. The Islamic State (IS) claimed responsibility for the previous attacks.
