MD-87 Jet Overshoots Runway, Erupts into Flames. All Passengers Survive

A McDonnell Douglas MD-87 burst into flames after coming to rest in a field near Houston Executive Airport, TX. 

All 21 passengers evacuated safely with two people sustaining injuries.

The  aircraft was attempting to take off from runway 36 at Houston Executive Airport at the time of the accident. 

According to witnesses the aircraft went through a fence and took down electical powerlines before it came to a stop about 500 m past the end of the runway.
