Azerbaijan, Qatar Agree To Expand Trade Ties

Top Qatari officials and representatives of Azerbaijan’s Small and Medium Business Development Agency met on Tuesday and exchanged views on boosting cooperation between the two countries.

The meetings were held in Doha, the capital of the Gulf state from Dec. 12-13, where the parties discussed expanding trade and investment ties, creating new platforms for cooperation in several areas, Trend reported.

Chairman of Development Agency, Orkhan Mammadov met with First Vice-Chairman of Qatar’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mohamed Bin Ahmed Twar Al Kuwari, Chief Executive of the Qatar Investment Authority Mansour Ibrahim al-Mahmoud and Acting Executive Director of the Qatar Development Bank Abdulrahman Al Suwaidi were among the attendees, the outlet added.

They talked about joint financial support to the small and medium business projects, also possibilities of the Qatari investors to invest in Azerbaijan, it added.

They also talked about creating businessmen groups between the two countries, paving the way for the businessmen to learn from each other experiences, it furthered.
