The USGS reported that a 7.3-magnitude earthquake has struck the eastern Indonesian Coast.
According to the USGS, the earthquake struck 7.3 – 112 km N of Maumere, Indonesia at 03:20:24 (UTC) at 7.603°S 122.200°E with a depth of 18.5 km.
Footage from the area has shown people running for safety after the earthquake hit.
There were no reported casualties or fatalities but authorities have advised nearby residents to be on alert for possible tsunamis and to stay away from the coastline.
