15 Killed in Sudanese Coup Protests

At least 15 people have been killed so far during the anti-coup protests in Sudan.

“Security Forces Attempts to Raid and besiege Hospitals  28 years old  Abu Bakr Salah Osman died from live bullets wounds sustained in the chest and the abdomen. Bringing the death toll among civilians to 15,” reported the Central Committee of Sudan Doctors (CCSD).

The CCSD added that 39 people have been killed so far since the coup started.

The protests across Khartoum which were attended by thousands of Sudanese citizens started out peacefully but security forces reportedly started using tear gas and live ammo to disperse them.

Police and military have also resorted to arresting protesters who were already sent to the hospital. 

“The day’s massacre reinforces our slogans: no negotiations, no partnership, no compromise with the military,” said protest organizers from the Sudanese Professionals Association (SPA ) on the use of live ammunition.
