The incident involving a head-on collision between a car and a truck happened in the central Iran’s city of Yazd late Monday, Ahmad Dehghan, head of the province’s emergency services said, the Mehr news agency repor.

He said that an Afghan woman is also among the victims, adding that the injured people were immediately shifted to the nearby hospital, but their conditions reported unstable.

The Afghans who are illegally attempting to enter Iran are much prone to the road accidents as they travel at high speed to evade security forces, the outlet added.

Afghan refugees are frequently involved in road accidents in the central Kerman and Yazd Iranian provinces.
