The government of Yemen on Thursday said it has killed a senior operative of the Lebanese Hezbollah group in a clash in central Marib province.
Yemen Information Minister, Muammar Al Eryani said that the group’s senior operative, Akram al-Sayyed, was killed in artillery fire conducted by the Yemeni army.
Quoted by the SABA news agency, Al Eryani said that al-Sayyed entered Yemen with a group of other Hezbollah’s men in August 2017.
“He took the command of the Houthis fighting in the southern areas of Marib,” he added.
Moreover, a Saudi-led coalition carried out airstrikes in Sanaa, the capital city of Yemeni on Thursday.
A spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition in a statement claimed that they have destroyed the depots of ballistic missiles, drones and communication systems of the Yemeni Resistance.
The Yemeni National Salvation Government has repeatedly stressed that the Yemeni army will continue to respond to the Saudi coalition attack as long as they stop the war.
