Anti-Vaccine Christian Broadcaster Marcus Lamb Dies After Contracting COVID-19

Marcus Lamb, the co-founder of the conservative Christian TV network Daystar who vocally opposed the COVID-19 vaccine, died at the age of 64, weeks after contracting COVID-19.

“It’s with a heavy heart we announce that Marcus Lamb, president and founder of Daystar Television Network, went home to be with the Lord this morning,” Daystar Television announced on Twitter on Nov. 30.

Daystar Spokesperson confirmed in a statement to USA Today that Lamb died of COVID-19 but declined to comment on his vaccination status.

Lamb’s son Jonathan said in a broadcast on Nov. 23 that the his father’s COVID-19 infection was a “spiritual attack from the enemy” to “take down” his father.

Under Lamb’s leadership, the network dedicated hours of airing anti-vaccine conspiracy theories and featured groups and individuals that spread vaccine misinformation, such as America’s Frontline Doctors and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

According to the network’s website, Daystar is one of the two largest Christian television networks in the world with over 70 television stations across the U.S.
