Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived Turkey on Wednesday, and this is the first high-level delegation visit since 2012.
He arrived in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, upon the invitation of Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Turkey and the UAE will sign a series of cooperation agreements, according to Anadolu Agency.
There will be cooperation agreements in multiple fields including trade, energy and environment, as well as agreements covering direct investments in Turkey will be signed, the agency added.
Moreover, a statement by Turkey’s Communications Directorate said that bilateral relations will be reviewed with all its dimensions, and steps to improve cooperation will be discussed during the meetings.
Regional and international developments will also be discussed, the statement added.
Quoting a well-placed source, the Middle East Eye reported that recently the crown prince told Erdogan in a phone call earlier this year that he was ready to invest as much as $100b.
