Adele’s ’30’ Becomes Best-Selling Album in 2021 in U.S. After Three Days

Adele’s “30” is currently the best-selling album of 2021, and it did it in just three days.

Initial reports to MRC Data through Billboard indicate that the album surpassed the total sales of any album released in the previous 11 months combined in three days.

It demolished the previous year’s top-seller, Taylor Swift’s “Evermore,” which sold 462,000 copies through the week ending Nov. 18.

It also surpassed Swift’s prior one-week sales for the year, which she previously held with her “Red (Taylor’s Version),” which was released last Friday and sold 369,000 copies in the United States in the week ending Nov. 18.

The current tracking week concludes on Thanksgiving Day, November 25th, at the conclusion of business. Billboard will release the album’s official final first-week sales figures on Sunday, Nov. 28, when MRC Data has finished processing the week’s data.
