White House vaccinations coordinator Dr. Bechara Choucair has announced his resignation and return to the private sector.
Choucair has joined President Joe Biden’s administration during the transition last year and was a former Chicago health commissioner and senior executive at Kaiser Permanente.
Chouchair’s last day would be on Monday after implementing several policies during his tenure.
The White House has not yet commented on Chouchair’s resignation while there is no information yet on his possible replacement.
