Britain on Friday announced 44,242 new coronavirus cases and 157 related deaths in the past 24 hours, an increase of 10 percent on daily infections.
The country’s dashboard data shows 44,242 positive tests were registered, a slight uptick from 40,375 last Friday that indicates upwards every day since 11 of November.

This is as the Office for National Statistics’ weekly surveillance report suggested that England’s Covid cases dipped by 10 percent last week.
Recently, Britain Prime Minister Boris Johnson highlighted the need to ramp up its Covid restrictions.
He urged people to get their booster vaccines and warned of Europe’s spiraling crisis. Christmas festival would not be halted in Britain despite growing concern over the continents of the outbreak.
Moreover, the European Medicines Agency advised the use of Merck’s COVID-19 pill that can be used to treat infected youths with Coronavirus who do not need extra oxygen.
