The Los Angeles International Airport has suffered from a power outage, causing multiple flight cancellations.
Over 30 aircraft were reportedly delayed while technicians investigated the problem.
Passengers passing through the airport were advised to assess the delay and “leave additional time,” with certain flights to and from LAX disrupted by the shutdown.
According to the Los Angeles Water and Power Department’s investigation, the airport’s sixth terminal was extensively damaged, and passengers said that the electricity went out for nearly an hour and the alarms went off.
About two hours after the power loss at LAX Airport, the airport claimed that “all electricity” had been restored, including Terminal Six.
LAX officials, however, have yet to identify the reason for the stoppage.
