Bayer Recalls Lotrimin and Tinactin Sprays Due to Potential Health Risk

Bayer recalled all unexpired Lotrimin AF and Tinactin spray products due to potential safety risk.

The products contain benzene, which is classified as a human carcinogen.

The levels of benzene detected are not expected to cause adverse health consequences in consumers.

A list of the over-the-counter antifungal products that are sold individually or in combo packs in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico through a variety of retail channels from September 2018, to September 2021 may be found here.

Customers who purchased the recalled products may request a refund by visiting www.lotrimin.com and www.tinactin.com. A photo of the product will be required to receive a refund.

There have been no reported incidents or injuries to date.
