Former United States President Bill Clinton has been released on Oct. 17 from a Southern California hospital where he was receiving treatment for sepsis.
“His fever and white blood cells count are normalized and he will return home to New York to finish his course of antibiotics,” Dr. Alpesh Amin, who oversaw the team of doctors treating Clinton at UC Irvine Health, said in a statement.
Clinton, 75, was admitted to the hospital last Oct. 12 for a urinary tract infection that developed into sepsis.
Clinton, who served as the 42nd president, was scheduled to attend a private Clinton Foundation event in California last Oct. 14 with wife and former presidential candidate Hillary.
