India has reported that Indian and Chinese troops had a tense face-off along the contested Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh.
Around 200 troops reportedly tried to cross the LAC and tried to destroy bunkers.
There were reported clashes between the two sides but it was mostly hand-to-hand combat due to the agreement between China and India banning the use of firearms.
There were no reported fatalities but some Chinese troops were reportedly detained
“There is a difference in perception of the Line of Actual Control in this area … and that both sides undertake patrolling activities up to their line of perception,” a source told NDTV.
Both China and India have not yet commented on the incident.
