An Ohio sting operation setup to combat human trafficking has resulted in 161 Arrests.
A total of 51 human trafficking victims were provided assistance and services from health care and social services organizations.
Among those arrested in the sting were: a teacher, a professor, a firefighter, a pilot, municipal/government employees, and a city councilman.
Fifty people were arrested on prostitution and related crimes.
According to authorities a separate by simultaneous operation by the U.S. Marshals Service recovered 10 missing or exploited children.
According to a statement by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, almost 100 federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, and non-governmental and nonprofit partners participated in “Operation Ohio Knows” between September 24 and October 1, 2021.
