Taiwan Reports 56 Chinese Warplanes Encroached Air Defense Zone

Fifty-six Chinese warplanes entered Taiwan’s air defense zone near the Pratas Islands on Monday,  making it the largest reported incursion by the Chinese air force.

Since October 1, 2021, more than 150 Chinese military aircraft have purposefully entered Taiwan’s air defense perimeter.

Taiwan in response accused Beijing of  “irresponsible provocative actions” in response to the incursion, calling out China as the “chief culprit” escalating regional tension.

For more than a year Taiwan has endured repeated airspace incursions by China’s air force.

Communist China views Taiwan breakaway province, while Taiwan considers itself to be a sovereign democratic state.
