Mass Shooting Reported in Perm University Siberia, Several Dead

A gunman has reportedly killed eight people and wounded dozens more after opening fire at the Perm State University in Siberia.

“At about 11 o’clock, an unknown person entered the Perm University campus with a traumatic weapon and opened fire on the street. Four victims are known. All city and university services are on alert. We will provide information. Please, be careful. ALL LESSONS WILL BE CANCELED,” announced Perm University. 

Footage from the scene has shown students jumping out of a school building to escape the gunman.

Siberian governor Dmitry Makhonin reported that the suspect who was later identified as Timur Bekmansurov has been detained as of 12PM but died.

The regional Ministry of Health reported that more than 10 people were injured but there could be more so they have sent 9 ambulance brigades to the area.
